Hask Engineering Services is a privately owned engineering and construction company, officially registered with the Ministry of Commerce, Central Business Registry & Intellectual Property of Afghanistan in 2007, under License No. D-27174.

The company operates through its regional offices located in Kabul, Jalalabad, Kandahar, and Mazar-e-Sharif, with the capacity to establish additional offices in other provinces as required by project needs.

Hask Engineering Services & Builders was established in 2007 and initially commenced its operations as a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory. Over time, the company expanded its scope of services to include Project Survey and Design, Construction Works, Engineering Studies, and Professional Training Programs, responding to the growing needs of the engineering and construction sector in Afghanistan.

In addition to its technical services, Hask takes pride in publishing “The Civil Engineer”, the first technical and engineering magazine in Pashto and Dari in Afghanistan, contributing to knowledge sharing and professional development within the engineering community.

The Environmental Expert is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing environmental aspects of infrastructure and development projects. The role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, promotes sustainable practices, and provides technical guidance on environmental impact assessments, mitigation measures, and resource management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• 5 years of experience in environmental management for infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental impact assessment (EIA), monitoring, and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with international and local environmental regulations, standards, and sustainability frameworks.
• Experience with environmental modeling, GIS, and data analysis tools.
• Ability to prepare environmental reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordination with engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare related documentation.
• Monitor environmental performance during project planning, construction, and operation.
• Develop and implement mitigation measures to minimize environmental risks.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Coordinate with project teams to integrate environmental considerations into design and construction.
• Review contractor environmental submissions and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare environmental reports, audits, and documentation for approvals and handover.
• Support training and awareness programs on environmental management and sustainability.
• Provide technical advice on waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.
