ATOA designs, develops, and implements programs centered on these six core areas, while also addressing three key issues that are integrated into our core programs.

Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

Ensure proper pharmaceutical management and availability of essential medicines according to MoPH BPHS/EPHS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate stock records (bin cards, stock cards).
  2. Implement FEFO system for drug management.
  3. Prevent stock-outs and overstocking.
  4. Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity).
  5. Conduct quarterly physical inventory.
  6. Ensure rational drug dispensing practices.
  7. Maintain narcotics and controlled drugs register.
  8. Prepare and submit LMIS reports.
  9. Coordinate with the provincial supply chain unit.
  10. Ensure proper disposal of expired medicines.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Pharmacy.
  • Registered with MoPH.
  • 3+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills.
  • Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design, and presentations.
  • Other skills required:

  • Efficient, result-oriented, and excellent management capabilities.
  • Ability to identify project weaknesses and gaps and to take corrective action.
  • Ability in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent HMIS and M&E skills
  • Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle.
  • confidential and politically sensitive issues responsibly and maturely.
  • Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity.
  • Ability to travel throughout the country.
  • Respect the confidentiality of the organization.
