Job Descriptions:

The Women Economic Empowerment Trainer is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs aimed at enhancing economic opportunities and skills for women beneficiaries in Takhar province. The trainer will focus on delivering comprehensive training on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, market access, and vocational skills to promote sustainable livelihoods among women.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Training Program Development and Implementation:

    • Develop customized training modules and materials on business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, and product development tailored to the needs of women in Takhar province.
    • Deliver interactive and participatory training sessions and workshops that cater to diverse groups of women, including those from rural and marginalized communities.
    • Adapt training methodologies to ensure accessibility and inclusivity, particularly for women with low literacy levels or limited formal education.

Capacity Building and Skills Development:

    • Conduct training sessions and workshops on women economic empowerment, ensuring active participation and engagement of participants.
    • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to women entrepreneurs to strengthen their business skills, decision-making abilities, and confidence.
    • Facilitate peer learning and knowledge exchange among program participants to foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
    • Support women in accessing market information, networking opportunities, and linkages with local businesses and financial institutions.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Develop and implement monitoring tools and systems to track the progress and impact of training programs on women’s economic empowerment.
    • Collect, analyze, and report data on participants’ achievements, challenges, and outcomes to inform program adjustments and improvements.
    • Prepare regular reports on training activities, outcomes, and lessons learned for internal and external stakeholders.

Partnership and Networking:

    • Collaborate with local partners, community organizations, and relevant stakeholders to enhance program implementation, outreach, and sustainability.
    • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, market actors, and financial service providers to facilitate market linkages and economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs.

Advocacy and Awareness:

    • Advocate for policies and practices that promote women’s economic empowerment and gender equality within Takhar province.
    • Raise awareness among community members and stakeholders about the importance of women’s economic participation and empowerment.

Capacity Building of Staff and Partners:

    • Provide training and technical support to HHWO staff and local partners on women economic empowerment principles, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Strengthen the capacity of local trainers and facilitators to ensure the sustainability and scalability of training initiatives in Takhar province.

Job Requirements:

Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field.

Experience:

    • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in designing and delivering training programs focused on women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
    • Demonstrated experience working with women from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, including rural and marginalized communities.
    • Proven track record in capacity building, mentorship, and coaching of women entrepreneurs or community groups.

Skills: 

    • Strong facilitation and training delivery skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
    • Excellent understanding of gender dynamics, women’s rights issues, and barriers to women’s economic empowerment.
    • Knowledge of participatory and experiential learning methodologies.
    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.

Languages: Written and spoken fluency in English and Farsi-Dari, both.
