Job Descriptions:

Carpet weaving trainer is responsible for provision of comprehensive training sessions in traditional and modern carpet waving techniques. The trainers should prepare training plan and conduct the training based on the approved plan.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions in carpet weaving techniques, including traditional and modern methods.
  • Develop and implement a structured curriculum that meets the needs of beginners and advanced learners.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical workshops.
  • Mentor and support trainees, providing feedback and guidance to improve their skills.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in the training centers.
  • Monitor and evaluate trainees progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure training aligns with the project objective.
  • Supervise carpet weaving training participants in in vocational centers and provide technical consultation.
  • Evaluate and report on progress to the project manager.
  • Provide training to improve the quality and speed of production.
  • Preparing training plan and conduct the training based on the approved plan.
  • Maintain discipline and cleanliness in the center and among the participants of the program.
  • The Vocational Training trainer will make sure that all beneficiaries are actively participating in the training and practice the training provided.
  • Maintain the proper inventory of the tools and kits existed in the training center.
  • The trainer in collaboration with the project livelihood and value chain officers should prepare marketing training for the trainees.
  • Any other tasks assigned by project manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma/ certificate in carpet weaving.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in teaching in carpet weaving.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and report back to the manager regularly on any matters.
  • Ability to plan, organize and deliver theory and practical sessions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to vocational instruction and ethical behaviors.
