Job Descriptions:

The Beekeeping Trainer will play a key role in the implementation of the beekeeping program by providing high-quality technical training and on-site support to beneficiaries. The purpose of this position is to empower returnees with practical and sustainable beekeeping knowledge and skills. The trainer will be responsible for conducting training workshops, monitoring progress in the field, distributing beekeeping kits, and ensuring proper colony management and honey harvesting practices.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training on beekeeping techniques, hive management, and honey production.
  • Develop training materials and resources tailored to the needs of participants.
  • Conduct hands-on workshops and practical demonstrations in various locations.
  • Assess participants' skills and knowledge through regular monitoring and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to training activities.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the project manager.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in animal husbandry, agriculture, horticulture, extension, or veterinary sciences.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in modern and/or traditional beekeeping practices, including hive management, honey extraction, feeding, seasonal care, and disease control.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with program staff at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and with staff of diverse backgrounds.
  • In-depth knowledge of practical and theoretical aspects of beekeeping.
  • Familiarity with the cultural language of the district.
  • Proven capacity to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Pashto, Dari and English is required.
