Job Descriptions:

Duties and Responsibilities

   Technical and administrative responsibilities of all services of this health center

  • Utilizes the BPHS guideline as a reference for performance and quality improvement
  • Diagnosis and treatment of outpatients and inpatients according to national guidelines
  • Detailed observation and completion of necessary examinations of patients to reach the final diagnosis
  • Providing health education to patients during examinations
  • Timely identification of complicated cases and their referral to secondary and tertiary healthcare services
  • On call duty for complicated cases during the night shift
  • Maintaining related reports and documents
  • Participate in the design and implementation of training during the execution of duties for 4C staff
  • Actively monitor the work of all 4C staff and strengthen their professional knowledge and behavior to improve teamwork and quality of services
  • Actively participate in HF committees and follow-up of the activities
  • Implement the Harmonized Quality Improvement Program in 4C
  • Follow up and fill the gaps of external and internal monitoring’s feedback and findings
  • Participation in meetings, conferences and training courses
  • Checks that all required equipment and consumable material for health facilities are available and that properties, resources, and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order
  • Rapid identification and reporting of problems that prevent the achievement of goals
  • Keep sound coordination between the clinic and other NAC programs
  • Ensures a clean, safe, and secure working environment in 4C
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education: A degree from a recognized medical faculty and passing the Medical Council Exit Exam are mandatory.

Language requirements

  • Fluency in Pashto, Dari and working knowledge of English

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in EPHS/BPHS

Skills:

  • Excellent Managerial and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Understanding of Gender issues and cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent Negotiating skills in multicultural and multilingual environments
  • Good knowledge of the province, stakeholders, and local communities
  • Excellent knowledge of the BPHS and Afghan health systems
