The Maywand Foundation (MF) is a non-profit foundation established in 2020, dedicated to delivering essential services to vulnerable populations across Afghanistan. With it’s headquarter in Afshar, Kabul.

Maywand foundation is looking for MCH supervisor who frequently travel to Maternal and Child Health clinics for purpose of supportive supervision and on the job training to midwives  

Job Description:

1. The Maternal and Child Health Supervisor is responsible to supervise the implementation of the maternal and child related components of the Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) in the MCH centers.
2. Supervise health facilities on regular basis
3. Supervise activities related to Family Planning (FP) at the HF level to ensure proper distribution and utilization of the FP supplies.
4. Collect and check RH related data from the HFs on monthly basis.
5. Supervise neonatal and maternal health care provided by the HFs and ensure a working referral system for obstetric cases
6. Assess the need and provide on the job and refresher trainings to the MCH staff
7. Identify and report immediately any problem which interfere in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor
8. Perform other duty assigned by line Manger
9. Supervise the awareness raising activities conducted at the HFs with respect to MCH topics

Job requirements

• Graduated from recognized university as a Medical Doctor
• At least three years’ experience in maternal and child health
• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge of English language and computer
• Interest and ability to travel extensively in the field
