Job Descriptions:

Workover is a term used in the oil and gas industry to describe the maintenance and repair of existing wells. This process is used to restore production from a well that has decreased or stopped flowing, and it is an important part of the lifecycle of an oil or gas well. 
These tasks are performed using specialized equipment, such as workover rigs, and a team of skilled workers.

  • Responsible for well servicing projects and downhole operations projects.
  • Responsible for overall design and optimization of well servicing and downhole operations project plans.
  • Responsible for the production organization, operation, and technical management of well-servicing and downhole operations projects.
  • Track, monitor, and analyze the operational dynamics related to engineering operations.
  • Provide solutions and technical support for difficult and complex technical issues encountered during engineering operations.
  • Organize investigations and handle engineering accidents related to engineering operations, and provide corresponding recommendations for handling.
  • Organize the formulation of medium and long-term development plans and annual work plans for well servicing, operations, and other engineering projects.
  • Responsible for technical research in well completion, well servicing, downhole operations, and oil production engineering; collected information on the development of domestic petroleum engineering technology and carried out the introduction and promotion of new technologies.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the company.
  • Perform a broad range of engineering activities, analyses, and calculations related to underground storage.
  • Design, plan, and oversee field work associated with good workovers.
  • Use an abundance of industry knowledge and prior work experience to efficiently diagnose and remediation well-integrity issues and deliver good work-related projects.

Job Requirements:

Previous experience as a petroleum engineer or in a similar role Hands-on experience with drilling equipment Great mathematical and IT skills Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Availability to travel to different locations regularly Professional engineering license is required.

  • Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering, and related discipline.
  • 10 years of experience working as an engineer in drilling, workover, and completions.
  • Specific previous experience in well repairs, coiled tubing operations, plugging and abandoning, liner installations, cementing operations, and wireline logging.
  • Experience in project management, including familiarity with preparing cost proposals, and project budgets, coordinating the timing of services, and more.
  • Previous experience in consulting.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management, especially subsurface oilfield projects.
