Hungarian International Aid, founded in 1991, is one of Hungary’s largest humanitarian organizations that also has gained international recognition. Through its expanding community of experts, volunteers, donors and corporate partners, HIA-Hungary assists those in distress and deprivation. Regardless of nationality, religion and ideology, HIA-Hungary provides assistance to those in need in Hungary and in the international arena as a member of the international community in accordance with the strictest professional and transparency rules.

OBJECTIVES – Assistance to those in need: HIA-Hungary’s objective is to deliver quick, professional and effective assistance to crisis victims of natural and man-made disasters. Fight against poverty: HIA-Hungary’s objective is to offer not only emergency assistances but also provide chances to break out of poverty for people who are ready to take action to promote their catching up. Stronger social solidarity​: HIA-Hungary’s objective is to strengthen social solidarity through creating a culture of volunteering and giving.

Since 2001, HIA has been implementing humanitarian and development programmes in Afghanistan. In addition to humanitarian aid, our objective is to achieve, through our permanent local office, long-term sustainable results in the areas of education, rural development, public administration development, health and capacity building. In partnership with United Nations World Food Program (WFP), we deliver thousands of tons of food each year through “emergency humanitarian assistances” and “food for work” programmes to those in need. In the complex food programmes, we help the population to make a long-term sustainable living through income-generating training, agricultural, water management and infrastructural developments.

·        Assisting the storekeeper in arrival, offloading and stocking of food.

·        Familiarity with warehouse management and proper stocking.

·        Arranging food in way so that that the beneficiaries receive food in easy way with no disturbance and conflict among the beneficiaries.

·        Organizing and proper recording of distribution of assistances in targeted district.

·        Distributing assistance on time and distributing according to project working plan and schedule on a pre-determined quantity and quality.

·        Recording the beneficiaries who received their monthly ration in distribution book and excellent in beneficiary identification.

·        Behaving well and kind with beneficiaries while distributing assistance.

·        Keeping beneficiary food distribution list all the time in good condition.

·        Reporting the distribution information on daily, weekly and monthly basis to site supervisor.

·        Familiarity with SCOPE system and ability of registering beneficiaries in SCOPE.

·        Any other task assigned by the management.

• BA from Economy/BBA, Social Science or other relevant fields.
• Knowledge of warehouse management (experience with WFP projects is a privilege)

·        Ability to resolve any issues during distributions.

• Effective communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken Dari, Pashto and English.

·        Familiarity with setting and usage of mPOS devices.

• Ability to use the computer and have knowledge in MS office package.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
