Job Description
Lead legal awareness activities on Housing, Land and Property (HLP) rights, civil documentation, and family laws based on Afghan legal frameworks and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh).
Train and mentor Community Legal Awareness Facilitators and community-based paralegals.
Simplify legal concepts for low-literacy community members.
Conduct community-level legal consultations (without providing court representation).
Ensure referrals to existing formal/informal legal mechanisms.
Support Monitoring & Evaluation by tracking legal awareness indicators.
Train and mentor Community Legal Awareness Facilitators and community-based paralegals.

Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Law (LL.M preferred). Knowledge of Afghan legal framework and fiqh is essential.
Minimum 4 years (with Master’s) or 6 years (with Bachelor’s) of relevant legal practice or support experience, including with women.
Strong knowledge of HLP rights and civil documentation procedures in Afghanistan.
Experience in community legal counselling, mediation, or dispute resolution.
Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English.
Minimum 4 years (with Master’s) or 6 years (with Bachelor’s) of relevant legal practice or support experience, including with women.
Strong knowledge of HLP rights and civil documentation procedures in Afghanistan.
Experience in community legal counselling, mediation, or dispute resolution.
