About Organization for Women Empowerment (OWE)
The Organization for Women Empowerment (OWE) was established in 2014 as a non-profit and development organization - registered with the NGO Department of the Ministry of Economy, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. OWE aims to help impoverished communities, particularly women, youth, and children, gain social, economic and political potency by raising awareness, building capacity, educational and vocational skills training, and creating professional opportunities. OWE is a women’s organization for women. OWE's learning experience as a development organization comes from its working association with communities in different areas of Afghanistan. More importantly, OWE is one of the successful organizations in the community, NGO Coordination Bureau, and region.

- Mobilize communities to participate in legal awareness and PSS sessions.
- Identify vulnerable returnee households, especially women and girls.
- Organize community meetings, women-only sessions, and safe spaces.
- Support Community TOT focal points and ensure their active engagement.
- Facilitate referrals to legal, health, and protection services.
- Work closely with community elders, religious leaders, women’s groups, and local structures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Development (preferred). Diploma/secondary education with experience accepted.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilization, social outreach, or community development.
- Experience working with women, youth, returnees, or vulnerable groups.
- Ability to identify vulnerable individuals and support referrals.
- Fluency in Pashto and Dari. Basic English
