Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

A Project Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards. Key duties include directing field staff, coordinating subcontractors, implementing safety protocols, controlling resources, and providing progress reports to management.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Direct on-site, day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with project plans and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor project staff, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments and maintaining site safety.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure adherence to company, client, and industry standards.
  • Reporting & Administration: Prepare regular reports for project managers regarding project progress, budget status, and potential risks.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage materials, equipment, and staff scheduling to maximize efficiency.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is often preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in project coordination, construction, or a relevant industry is generally required.

Other skills required:

  • Efficient, result-oriented, and excellent management capabilities.
  • Ability to identify project weaknesses and gaps and to take corrective action.
  • Ability in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle.
