About Kunduz Rehabilitation Agency:

Kunduz Rehabilitation Agency (KRA) is an NGO that was established in Kunduz city of In Afghanistan in 1995. KRA emerged from Afghanaid
International UK NGO and was named after the city of Kunduz, where it was established. The reason for Afghanaid to establish KRA was due
to the constant internal conflicts and warlord fights that made it impossible for Afghanaid to continue its operations in the region. Therefore,
Afghanaid decided to hand over its ongoing projects to KRA for the betterment of the community in all over Afghanistan. Since its inception,
KRA has been committed to uplifting the downtrodden, disadvantaged, and vulnerable groups of people in Afghanistan. KRA firmly believes
that development is not limited to a single dimension but encompasses physical, social, and economic dimensions. To achieve its goals, KRA
has been implementing an integrated model of development with a holistic approach, targeting various groups for the development of poor,
vulnerable, handicapped, and disadvantaged men, women, and children.

Job Descriptions:

KRA is seeking a qualified Compliance Response Mechanism Officer for the FAO Food Security Project to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of compliance activities aimed at enhancing regulatory adherence and accountability within the project framework in Kunduz province. The Compliance Response Mechanism Officer will work closely with project stakeholders, including local farmers, livestock cooperatives, and government agencies, to ensure compliance with project guidelines and promote ethical practices in livestock management.

 Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance Support:
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance on compliance matters related to project activities, ensuring alignment with KRA guidelines and FAO regulations.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on compliance standards and the importance of ethical practices in project implementation.
  2. Field Assessments:
    • Carry out field assessments to identify potential compliance challenges, risks, and best practices within the district.
    • Collect and analyze data related to compliance, regulatory adherence, and stakeholder engagement to inform project planning and interventions.
  3. Collaboration and Networking:
    • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and partner organizations to promote compliance initiatives and enhance transparency within the project framework.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project beneficiaries, regulatory bodies, and enforcement agencies.
  4. Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor compliance activities and outputs, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on compliance activities, progress, challenges, and lessons learned to the Project Manager.
  5. Task Management:
    • Assist in implementing any additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager to support project goals and compliance operations.
    • Ensure that compliance protocols are integrated into all project activities and assist in the development of compliance-related documentation.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, social science public administration, governance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in compliance management, risk assessment, or regulatory affairs within project settings.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and community engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools and data reporting software.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in diverse environments.

 The Compliance Response Mechanism Officer will work primarily in field settings, with occasional demands for office work and meetings. Flexibility in hours may be necessary to accommodate project needs and stakeholder interactions.
