Job Descriptions:

Job Objective: To design, implement, and manage a robust accounting system based on QuickBooks Desktop (2025+) that aligns with the specific operational and financial needs of the mining company. The primary objective is to ensure the accurate, timely, and comprehensible recording of financial data. This will enable effective cost tracking per mine, precise inventory management, and comprehensive financial reporting to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities: System Setup and Configuration:

Lead the initial setup and configuration of QuickBooks Desktop 2025+ based on the specific needs of the mining operations.

Create and customize the chart of accounts to include accounts relevant to specific mining costs.

Create and manage customer and vendor data.

Set up classes or location tracking to monitor the profitability and costs of each mine, site, or project separately.

Job Requirements:

1. Education & Certification:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.

A Master's degree in any of the above fields is preferred and will be accepted with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.

2. Work Experience:

Proven and substantial experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and procurement operations.

Demonstrated experience in preparing financial reports, budgeting, expense management, and controlling financial documents.

A strong background in setting up, customizing, and managing accounting systems.

3. Technical Proficiencies:

Essential Software Skill: Full proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop (version 2025 or later) is mandatory. This includes:

System setup, configuration, and customization.

Creating and managing a chart of accounts.

Setting up classes for cost tracking (e.g., by mine, site, or project).

Accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, national tax laws, and financial regulations in Afghanistan.

Strong skills in financial reporting and analysis.

5. Industry & Operational Knowledge:

Experience in the mining, extraction, or heavy industry sector is a significant advantage.

Understanding of the operational needs and cost structures specific to mining projects is highly desirable.
