Afghanistan Development and Welfare Services Organization (ADWSO), an Afghan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operates in Afghanistan since December 2008. ADWSO’s priority sector areas are Child Protection, Capacity Building, Rule of Law and Women Empowerment.

Job Summary:
Provide legal counseling and support to community members, focusing on civil, criminal, and gender-sensitive cases. Maintain confidentiality and ensure ethical standards in legal aid delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver legal assistance and awareness sessions to men and women.
• Ensure documentation and confidentiality of legal service delivery.
• Work with UNDP AIMS team for data entry and reporting.
• Maintain a registry of cases and referrals.
• Liaise with local courts, justice actors, and religious leaders to improve access to justice.
• Monitor legal aid trends and identify advocacy needs in target communities.
• Provide referrals to psychosocial or protection services as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Law with knowledge of Islamic and Afghan law.
• 5+ years as a practicing lawyer or prosecutor.
• Experience supporting vulnerable populations.
