Purpose of the Position:
To visit construction site, and Sales agency in 34 provinces and resolve the compliance made by client for the Quality of Steel Bars, and I Beam, assistant for checking the physical testing laboratory operations within a steel mill, focusing on mechanical and structural evaluation of products such as steel bars, I-beams, and other structural steel items. The position ensures testing compliance with national and international standards and supports production quality assurance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
To visit construction site, and Sales agency in 34 provinces and resolve the compliance made by client for the Quality of Steel Bars, and I Beam.
a. Laboratory Operations & Mechanical Testing
- Oversee testing of steel bars, I-beams, channels, and other structural products for mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and impact resistance.
- Conduct bend tests, rebend tests, hardness tests, and dimensional verification.
- Supervise sample cutting, preparation, and testing procedures as per relevant standards.
b. Compliance with Standards
- Ensure testing methods comply with applicable standards including ASTM, ISO, BS, EN, BIS, and local regulatory codes for structural steel products.
- Maintain up-to-date SOPs and testing protocols for all product types.
c. Equipment Oversight
- Manage calibration, maintenance, and verification of testing equipment (e.g., UTM, impact testers, hardness machines, bend test jigs).
- Recommend upgrades or replacements of lab tools to maintain test accuracy and efficiency.
d. Reporting & Quality Support to head of deportment.
- Provide accurate and timely test reports to quality and production teams.
- Identify non-conformities and support investigations through data and trend analysis.
- Collaborate with QA and Production for corrective and preventive actions.
e. Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise physical lab technicians and ensure adherence to safety and test protocols.
- Conduct training on physical testing of structural products and safe equipment operation.
