Help Poor Women Organization (HPWO) is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, and non-profit organization established in 2003 with the aim of empowering women and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable groups in Afghanistan. It is officially registered with the Ministry of Economy.
Areas of Work:
With over two decades of experience, HPWO has successfully implemented numerous projects in cooperation with international, national, and local partners across various provinces of Afghanistan. The main areas of activity include:

The Surveyor / Social Mobilizer will play a vital frontline role in the implementation of the project across targeted communities. This position focuses on comprehensive data collection, community mobilization, and field-level facilitation to ensure accurate beneficiary selection and effective activity delivery in alignment with standards and project guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct household-level assessments and collect accurate and complete information from beneficiaries based on defined criteria in all targeted areas.
• Submit beneficiary survey data through the KoboCollect application via mobile to the previously established Kobo system either in real-time or at the end of the day.
• Assist with the coordination of logistics and the distribution of items (bakery tools, baking materials, cash, etc.) during training sessions and the distribution of kits to beneficiaries.
• Support the preparation of venues and management of beneficiaries during distributions and training sessions.
• Identify and report any risks, conflicts, or irregularities that may disrupt project implementation.
• Maintain accurate records of assessment progress, field challenges, and community feedback.
• Submit daily and weekly field activity reports to the Project Officer.
Education:
Possession of at least a high school diploma (12th grade certificate) or a bachelor's degree is required; a degree in social sciences, community development, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
At least 1 years of experience in field data collection, community mobilization, or social outreach work.
Basic familiarity with Kobo Toolbox or other digital survey tools.
Skills & Competencies:
1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust in diverse communities.
2. Basic technical understanding of data entry, mobile data collection tools, and field validation.
3. Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
4. Fluent in local languages (Dari and/or Pashto); basic English is a plus.
