Under the direct supervision of the Provincial Officer, and functional management of the Area/Sub area the Provincial Officer is responsible for supporting project manager with all the components in specified provincial level. The provincial officer is responsible for smooth implementation of all activities of the project in the respective province in close coordination with the Sub Area coordinator having quantity checking, verifying the fact of measures according to the project proposals at the field level of the all program activities implemented by EPDO Afghanistan and. S/he is need to show impact of the program and has strong working relationships with the area.

They will focus on external coordination at sub provincial and district levels, with oversight on coordination at district and village levels. The role holder will be primarily responsible for program activity on the field, program related sub area budget planning, reporting and capacity building and field staff planning, and area partner or stakeholder collaboration with assistance/validation from the Project Officer, Program manager, M&E Officer or who is primarily responsible for overall program activity implementation and monitoring.

Job Requirements:

       Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the project manager and team to maximize productivity;
  • Collaborate with the whole project team, contributing to the entire project lifecycle
  • responsible for collecting, compiling and consolidating all information related to different components of the project on a regular basis;
  • S/he is responsible for input and output monitoring in the project. S/he has to document the processes adopted in the project implementation, emerging best practices, success stories, human interest stories during implementation of the project;
  •  Provide timely feedback on the project progress and shortcomings to the Project Manager;
  • Support Project Manager in developing Work Plan and Financial Plan on quarterly basis;
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and process reports to the project manager;
  • Conduct weekly coordination meeting with provincial coordinators to make sure the proper implementation progress;
  • Provide technical support, ensure best practices are applied and high quality project implementation is upheld in accordance with donor guidelines and standards;
  • Review and adapt the project activities on an ongoing basis based on lessons learnt and the community needs in consultation with Project Manager and provincial coordinators;
  • Orient project staff on their roles and responsibilities, the key project deliverables and timeline;
  • Prepare/review procurement plan and ensure execution in line with Concern procurement procedures and guidelines. Liaise with logistics department to ensure timely execution of the procurement activities;
  • Organize and monitor schedules and see that deadlines are met
  • Coordinate efforts within the team and with outside consultants efficiently
  • Report updates verbally and in written form to management
  • Complete any necessary administrative tasks, such as research and email
  • Perform any other task assigned by the project manager
