Job Descriptions:

ROLE PURPOSE: 
To ensure that the SCI staff/visitors receive nutritious and healthy meals/tea regularly and ensure the cleanliness of the Save the Children NGR Officer, Staff Room, Guest House, and yard by washing the toilet areas daily regularly.

Reports to: Admin Officer 
Staff reporting to this post: N/A
Indirect: All programme 
Budget Responsibilities: N/A
Key Accountabilities 

Cleaning 60%

•    To ensure the cleanliness of the Save the Children office and/or staff/guest house.
•    Keeping all surfaces free from dust, sand, mud etc. by vacuum cleaning/sweeping of the carpets and hard surface areas.
•    Mopping and washing the floor, staircase, kitchen and other area with water and cleanser on a regular basis.
•    Washing the toilet areas on daily basis with water and cleanser, ensure adequate supplies of water, soap and toilet paper.
•    Empty all garbage bins on a daily basis, disposing of it properly. Ensure heating devices are clean and have adequate fuel.
•    Washing and drying of staff house members’ and long term visitors’ clothes when needed, ensuring adequate supply of clean towels and sheets in SC house for visitors.
•    Ensure all areas are free from insects.
•    Cleaning of air conditioner units, windows and glass panels.
•    Assist cook when large number of visitors are present.
•    Assist admin in moving/adding stocks/supplies/equipment, clearing up stock rooms, preparing supply requests
•    Keep all asset GPE and safe palce 
•    Placement all office equipment to the right place and time 
•    Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Cooking: 40% 

•    Serves meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen
•    Prepare and serve tea and lunch daily for staff and visitors. 
•    To maintain physical inventory records of food/tea items and submit regular expenditure reports to the administration officer.
•    Maintain and clean kitchen facilities/ kitchen and dining area hygienically.
•    To purchase food and tea items.
•    Advise on the amount of money needed from staff daily
•    Order kitchen supplies and equipment as needed
•    Manage food costs and inventory.
•    Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
•    Arrange the tea break for a special office meeting/workshop(s) and clean up afterward
