Job Description

Job Sammary: 

Responsibilities of Orthopedic Specialist includes but not limited to regular check-up of admitted patients and completion of its history, physical examination, laboratory investigation management and treatment, participation in in-service training and training of new employees and trainees

Essential Responsibilities And Duties:

History taking and completion of related documents for admitted patients.

Perform complete physical examination of patients as per their need.

Advice, completion and accurate interpretation of laboratory and radiology exams according to patient’ needs and relevant guidelines and forms.

Conduct regular patient visit as needed and instructed by hospital policies.

Make accurate diagnosis of patient’s illnesses in consideration to history, physical exam and laboratory exam findings.

Advice and manage treatment of admitted patients as per diagnosis and patient’s needs.

Ensure that the orthopedics care procedures are applied for patients as per patient needs

Counseling, managing and follow up of critically ill patients according to patient health status.

Assist in data collection according to data collection method and tools.

Participate actively in the training of new employees and trainees.

Follow up of specific standards, protocols, procedures, rules in regulations during daily works in consideration to hospital’s rules and regulations.

Built his/her self own capacity and participate in training session assigned for.

Participate in preparation of action plan for implementation of standards and participate in quarterly review session of the orthopedic ward standards.

Provide preventive and primitive counseling in department to the patients and clients.

Attend Night shift duty when as per schedule.

Participate actively in the infection prevention of ward and hospital.

Perform other related tasks assigned by supervisor.

Reporting to orthopedics ward In-charge.

Job Requirements

Medical Degree from a recognized university. Degree must be attested by MoHE.

Must be specialist of orthopedics and specialization degree must be attested by MoPH or MoHE.

Minimum one year of work experience in a hospital is required. Experience with EPHS is preferred.

Strong communication skill

Good interaction and pleasant behavior with patients, clients and colleagues

Familiarity of national languages (Dari and Pashto)

Good knowledge of English

Basic computer (Ms. Office) skills

Physical ability in performing duty in assigned ward
