ASLO is a registered Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit, and non-partisan organization. Informally established in 2012, ASLO was officially registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013 (Registration No. 2852).

Job Description
To lead and manage ASLO’s Health and Nutrition programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery for vulnerable communities and maintaining effective coordination with government and donor partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and oversee all Health and Nutrition programs of ASLO in Kabul and across provinces.
- Ensure quality implementation of health interventions aligned with donor, government, and organizational policies.
- Plan, design, and implement new projects and programs, including proposal development, concept notes, and budget planning.
- Coordinate effectively with national and international donors, Ministry of Public Health, health clusters, and Ministry of Economy.
- Manage teams, build staff capacity, and ensure high performance within the Health and Nutrition sector.
- Prepare technical, programmatic, and financial reports compliant with international standards and donor requirements.
- Supervise project implementation, monitor results, and ensure successful completion of 1–40 concurrent projects.
- Conduct field visits for supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities across provinces.
- Fundraising and resource mobilization to secure new project budgets for ASLO.
- Ensure sector sustainability by maintaining active engagement with current and potential donors.
- Maintain high-quality project management standards and respond effectively to audits and donor evaluations.
Job Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate in Public Health, Medicine, or Health Sciences.
- At least 12 years of professional experience in the Health and Nutrition sector.
- Proven experience managing national and international donor-funded projects.
- Strong proposal writing, project planning, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to coordinate with government institutions and donors effectively.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) and strong communication skills in Dari and/or Pashto.
- Willingness to travel to provinces for project supervision.
- Strong leadership, team management, and capacity-building skills.
- Commitment to ASLO values and equal opportunity principles.
