Afghanistan Relief and Sustainable Development Organization (ARSDO) is a national, non-profit development organization established in 2017 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan (Registration No. 4190). ARSDO has a strong grassroots presence and extensive experience in designing and implementing community-based development and humanitarian interventions across Afghanistan.
ARSDO works through a three-pronged strategy: 1. Community Organization and Inclusion: Strengthening grassroots community institutions with a strong focus on inclusion of vulnerable groups, particularly women and children. 2. Capacity Strengthening: Enhancing the knowledge, skills, and capacities of local communities to actively participate as co-implementers in addressing existing and emerging social, economic, and humanitarian challenges. 3. Advocacy and Policy Engagement: Advocating for improved justice, policy reforms, and the development of laws and strategies to combat social, economic, and rights-based challenges at local, national, and international levels.
ARSDO implements multi-sectoral programs including Education, Health, Economic Empowerment, Humanitarian Response, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Construction, combining advocacy with quality service delivery.
Job Description
The RH Officer will provide technical and programmatic support in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating reproductive health services under the BPHS-HER project. The officer will ensure the delivery of quality RH services according to national guidelines, donor requirements, and organizational standards.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of reproductive health activities across project-supported facilities and communities.
- Monitor the quality of RH service delivery and provide technical guidance to health staff.
- Facilitate training, orientation, and capacity building of health providers on reproductive health standards and protocols.
- Ensure timely reporting on RH indicators, including maternal and neonatal health, family planning, and emergency obstetric care.
- Conduct supportive supervision and field visits to assess service quality and identify gaps.
- Collaborate with local authorities, health departments, and stakeholders to strengthen RH interventions.
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting for project monitoring and evaluation.
- Promote awareness campaigns on reproductive health, maternal and child health, and family planning.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, national, and donor policies, standards, and guidelines.
3. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in medical health. Graduated from a recognized medical faculty. Must have successfully passed the Exit Exam.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in reproductive health programming, preferably in BPHS or similar settings.
- Experience in supportive supervision, training, and health program monitoring.
- Knowledge of Afghanistan’s health system, RH protocols, and community-based health interventions.
- Strong report writing, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in Dari/Pashto and English.
