Job Description
- Measure children aged 6-59 months and PLW using MUAC, weight and height.
- Admit children and PLW to the appropriate program (OPD-SAM/OPD-MAM) according to the guidelines.
- Provide health and nutrition education sessions including IYCF messages to the care givers of children under 5 and to PLW attending the nutrition site for treatment
- Record admissions, follow ups and discharges in the registration
- Mark absentees and defaulters on the treatment cards and in the registration book and follow up of all absent and defaulters.
- Keep daily records of all supplies issued to nutrition programme beneficiaries (distribution lists)
- Distribute the appropriate food ration and other supplies to the children and PLW in the feeding programme
- Track the stock received and distributed and update stock cards at the beginning and end of each day
- Calculate theoretical stock and compare to physical count at the end of each day to calculate losses
- Assist with timely stock requests as needed to avoid stock outs
- Keep working area, equipment, and records clean and tidy
- Take care of all work tools and equipment
- Prepare daily/weekly and monthly reports on activities and any necessary reports as requested.
- Any other duties assigned by line manager.
Job Requirements
Non-negotiable:
Education:
- Diploma in nursing/midwifery or equivalent or higher
- IMAM Training and work experience
- Training in IMAM and MIYCN /or IYCF
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in relevant field
Languages:
- Intermediate Written and spoken Dari and Pashtu
- Ability to write basic English (names, numbers etc)
Negotiable:
Work Experience:
- Previous working experience with a humanitarian organization

- Advanced English spoken and written
