Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities:

The CBNI Master Trainer is responsible for conducting effective trainings of CBNP, MNP, C-WIFS/ IFA supplementation to the CHSs and CHWs as well as supportive supervision of the CBNP follow up phase at the community level in compliance with the CBNI standard guidelines and protocols. S/he is reportable to the CBNI Provincial Project Manager and Nutrition Program Manager Country Office of the organization. Following are the main responsibilities of the position:

  1. Develop Assessment Tools, identify training needs of trainees through pre-test and facilitates and supports their professional development. 
  2. Develop detailed training plan and recommend tailor-made, easy to understand training material for each segment. The training material to be in line with CBNI national training guideline may include, guidelines, training manuals, presentations and flip charts.
  3. Plan and conduct CMSs at the HPs level as well CBNI refresher training for CHWs and CWs at HFs level.
  4. In consultation with the line supervisor, prepare travel plans for site visits and conduct field visits as per need to provide on-the-job-training and coaching to the field teams.
  5. Provide necessary support to the CBNI Provincial Project Manager and guidance to the field level staffs during the monitoring of activities taken place under CBNI nutrition project.
  6. Prepare field visit reports and submit it to line supervisor (Provincial Project Manager).
  7. Actively participate in CBNI, meetings, workshops and working groups conducted at provincial and district levels, if and when required.
  8.  Notify the Project Manager of any concerns related to trainees learning and ability.
  9. Ensures all training program properties, all resources and equipment are maintained and are in good working condition
  10. Prepare the training activity report & submit it to Provincial Project Manager on timely manner.
  11. Maintain proper records and filing system of the capacity development/training documents.
  12. Undertake any other assignment given by the management and Provincial Project Manager.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Education
  • MD degree for male and allied medical/ health science degree for female is also acceptable.
  • Higher education degree in the field of Health will be desirable
  1. Experience
  • Three years working experience with health sector, community-based nutrition or any other community-based program.
  • One year experience as community-based program supervisor or trainer is preferable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills;
  • Having community-level work experience and skills.
  • Fluent in Local Language (Pashto) with excellent speaking and writing skills;
  • Proficient computing skills including word processing, spreadsheet design and PPT presentation.

Other skills required:

  • Efficiency, result-oriented and community level working capabilities;
  • Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
  • Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;

Ability to use information technology effectively.
