Further, KRO is an Afghan organization that is committed to the development of the local economy and building local capacity for sustainable development. Thus, we have established a specialized network in many provinces of the country to design and implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Job Descriptions:

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for development and implementing HR Strategies, and initiatives aligned with the overall KRO Strategy, bridging management and employees’ relations by addressing demands, grievances and other issues, managing the recruitment, selection and personnel management processes, support current and future KRO needs through development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital and nurturing a positive working environment within KRO.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall KRO strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future KRO needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Conduct transparent, fair and open recruitments at KRO for all grades according to KRO recruitment and selection procedures.
  • To ensure the widest circulation of KRO advertisement among other NGOs and organizations to find potential candidates.
  • To ensure the CVs are received and put in a folder properly and handed over to the relevant section head for short listing and further process.
  • Preparing and ensure accurate job descriptions are in place for all staff
  • To act as an administrator on the written tests of applicants and to participate in the interviews
  • Interpreting, assisting and advising employees and managers regarding HR polices e.g. leave management and benefit administration.
  • Focal point person for the grievance, complaints and code of conduct handling.
  • Maintain truckers and records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and attendance and absenteeism rates.
  • Responsible for the confidential filling and archiving of all personnel files. Periodically checks files to ensure all missing documents are provided, securely keep in both hard and soft copy in line with KRO filling key. Takes keen interest in securing proof of life forms from all staff for secure storage as per KRO guidelines.
  • Transparently manage the HRMIS/HR Database. Input employee details, allocate KRO ID numbers and continuously update to ensure the staff establishment is accurate for payroll and reporting purposes and report it to Operations Manager on regular basis.
  • The preparation of relevant HR documentation e.g. contracts, end of probation/confirmation letters, monthly reports, certificates, letters,and prepare new staff packs
  • Ensuring the exit/employee separation checklist is fully completed in accordance with KRO SOPs. Notices are timely served, KRO and employee obligations fulfilled, exit interviews documented, clearance and handover documented and final payments done.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Master Preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Managerial Level position in Humanitarian context (at least three years of consecutive working experience in Human Resource Management)
  • Ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Good analytical skills
  • Context related skills
  • Ability to handle and manage pressure
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Fluent in English language is must Independence, integrity and objectivity
