The Strong Family Program (SFP) is a family‑based prevention and strengthening intervention designed to improve parenting skills, family communication, child well‑being, and protection outcomes. The program focuses on building caregivers’ capacities, strengthening family bonds, and promoting positive, safe, and nurturing environments for children and adolescents.

The Strong Family Program Supervisor / Master Trainer will play a critical role in ensuring high‑quality implementation of the program through technical leadership, supervision, training, mentoring, and quality assurance of facilitators and field teams.

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure effective, high‑quality, and faithful implementation of the Strong Family Program by providing technical oversight, supervising facilitators, delivering master‑level trainings, and supporting continuous capacity building, monitoring, and improvement of program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall technical supervision and guidance to Strong Family Program facilitators and field teams.
• Ensure program implementation adheres to approved SFP methodologies, manuals, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular provincial field visits to observe sessions, provide constructive feedback, and address implementation challenges.
• Support facilitators in managing sensitive family, parenting, and child protection issues in line with safeguarding and PSEA policies.

• Plan, organize, and deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) and facilitator trainings on the Strong Family Program curriculum.
• Mentor and coach facilitators through on‑the‑job training, refresher sessions, and supportive supervision.
• Adapt training approaches to suit local contexts while maintaining program fidelity.
• Contribute to the development or adaptation of training materials, tools, and guidance notes as required.

• Monitor program fidelity using approved observation checklists and quality assurance tools.
• Identify capacity gaps and develop targeted improvement plans for facilitators and teams.
• Ensure ethical standards, child safeguarding, confidentiality, and do‑no‑harm principles are upheld at all times.
• Support corrective actions and continuous quality improvement processes.

• Coordinate closely with Program, Protection, MEAL, and Field teams to ensure integrated and timely implementation.
• Support engagement with community leaders, service providers, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate program acceptance and effectiveness.
• Participate in coordination meetings and represent the Strong Family Program when required.

• Work closely with the MEAL team to support data collection, verification, and use of monitoring tools.
• Review session reports, attendance records, and monitoring data to track progress and quality.
• Contribute to learning, documentation of best practices, and lessons learned.
• Support accountability mechanisms, including feedback and complaint handling related to program delivery.
• The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position.

• Prepare regular supervision, training, and field visit reports.
• Document challenges, achievements, and recommendations for program improvement.
• Provide timely inputs to program reports, reviews, and evaluations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

•  Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
• Completion of the Strong Families Program Training of Trainers (ToT).
• Proven experience in conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) for facilitators.
• Minimum of one year of experience implementing Strong Families program cycles for caregivers and children.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in family‑based, parenting, child protection, psychosocial support, or community‑based programs.
• Proven experience as a trainer and/or supervisor, preferably as a Master Trainer or ToT facilitator.
• Demonstrated experience supervising field teams and ensuring program quality.
• Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or UN‑supported programs is preferred.
• Fluency in local language(s) Dari and Pashto is required. Fluency in English is required

• Strong facilitation, training, coaching, mentoring and supervisions skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work sensitively with families and communities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Good understanding of child safeguarding, PSEA, and ethical programming principles.
• Proficiency in report writing and basic data analysis.
