The Female Cook / Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and proper food preparation at OMID Headquarters in Kabul, located in Thaimani Watt, near Shahr-e-Naw.

The position requires a reliable, organized, and hardworking individual who can maintain a clean office environment and prepare daily meals for staff in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.

Applicants residing in Thaimani, Qala-e-Fathullah, and neighboring areas will be given priority consideration to ensure easy access to the office and timely attendance.

Cooking Responsibilities

• Prepare daily lunch for OMID staff as per agreed schedule.
• Ensure food is prepared in a clean, hygienic, and safe manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Manage basic food supplies and inform administration when items need replenishment.

Cleaning Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain offices, meeting rooms, kitchen, toilets, and common areas.
• Ensure a tidy, organized, and hygienic working environment at all times.
• Properly dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Support office cleanliness during meetings, trainings, and official events.

Other Duties

• Follow OMID’s internal rules, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the Administration or Management.

Job Requirements

Education

• No formal education required.
• Basic literacy is an advantage.

Experience

• Previous experience as a cook and/or cleaner in an office, organization, or household is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to prepare simple, hygienic meals.
• Knowledge of basic cleanliness and hygiene practices.
• Honest, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Language

• Basic knowledge of Dari and/or Pashto is required.
