The Enabled Children Initiative (ECI) is a non-profit organization, registered with the Ministry of Economy under registration number 5995. The organization provides free support and services to children with disabilities and their families. Through housing, education, and income-generating programs, ECI ensures that children with disabilities and their families receive the help they need to improve their lives.

Job Descriptions:

The Social Worker will provide individual and group psychosocial support to vulnerable populations, including women, children with special needs, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and returnees. The role includes conducting counselling sessions, facilitating peer support groups, supporting community-based activities, and strengthening referral pathways to health, protection, and psychosocial services. The position is based in Kabul and requires active collaboration with community members, local staff, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and inclusive support services.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in psychosocial support, counselling, or social work is preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Ability to work with vulnerable populations, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and IDPs.

    • Knowledge of psychosocial support (MHPSS) principles and trauma-informed care.

    • Ability to conduct both individual and group counselling sessions.

  • Other:

    • Male candidate (as specified for this post).

    • Willingness to work in Kabul and engage with the local community.
