Position Title: Hospital Manager
Department: Administration & Operations
Reports To: Executive Director
Supervisory Role: Administrative Staff, Support Services, and Selected Clinical Operations
Hospital Name: Saheed Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital
Job Requirement:
A. Operational & Administrative Management
Lead and oversee all non-clinical and administrative functions of the hospital.
Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, policies, workflows, and guidelines.
Monitor operational performance across departments and resolve operational gaps.
Maintain a clean, safe, and functional hospital environment, addressing maintenance and facility issues promptly.
Oversee hospital security, cleanliness, waste management, and infection prevention systems.
Coordinate with IT teams to ensure that Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) run smoothly.
Ensure compliance with health ministry regulations, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., ISO, national health accreditation).
B. Human Resource & Staff Management
Participate in staff planning, recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
Support capacity-building programs, training schedules, and staff professional development.
Ensure departmental staffing levels are adequate for uninterrupted service delivery.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a professional work environment.
Conduct staff meetings, briefings, and communication updates regularly.
C. Financial Planning & Budget Oversight
Develop annual operational budgets, expenditure forecasts, and financial plans.
Monitor financial performance, analyze cost variances, and ensure responsible budget utilization.
Review procurement requests, quotations, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
Supervise revenue generation processes, billing, patient accounts, and insurance claims.
Maintain transparency, financial accuracy, and compliance with financial policies.
D. Patient Services & Quality Care Management
Ensure patient-centered service delivery and adherence to clinical quality standards.
Oversee patient admission, discharge, referral systems, and registration services.
Address patient complaints, feedback, grievances, and escalate cases when required.
Implement quality assurance programs, including clinical audits, safety procedures, and patient satisfaction surveys.
Promote compliance with infection control protocols, emergency preparedness, and risk mitigation plans.
E. Strategic Leadership & Planning
Assist the Executive Director in strategic hospital projects, expansions, and service improvements.
Lead operational analysis to identify performance gaps and propose innovative solutions.
Guide digital transformation initiatives such as automation, telemedicine, and data analytics.
Develop partnerships with public health institutions, NGOs, donors, and private sector stakeholders.
Prepare high-quality periodic reports for management, board members, donors, and regulatory authorities.
F. Compliance, Governance & External Relations
Ensure all hospital activities comply with national laws, healthcare rules, and organizational policies.
Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and quality accreditation processes.
Represent the hospital in government meetings, coordination forums, and professional gatherings.
Establish effective communication with suppliers, contractors, and community partners.
