Job Descriptions:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

      English & Computer Teacher Job Description:

  • Teaching English language to students to understand, speak, write and read.
  • Teaching computer lessons to students to understand basics of operating a computer
  • Developing lesson plans in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Organizing and delivering classroom lectures to students.
  • Preparing classroom and coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts.
  • Evaluating the students' class work and assignments.
  • Recording and maintaining accurate student attendance records and grades.
  • Classroom and computer lab management.
  • Be responsible for the safety of students during lessons.
  • Maintaining discipline in the classroom.
  • Creating a vibrant teaching atmosphere.
  • Advising students on career issues.

IT Assistant Job Description:

  • Keep up to date records of IT equipment in computer lab.
  • Be able to install and troubleshoot printers.
  • Monitoring computer systems for malfunctions and errors.
  • Performing maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems as needed.
  • Installing new hardware such as computers, Printers, and other peripherals.
  • Configuring network printers to share in between different departments.
  • Installing routers and Access points locally inside the office
  • Installing and updating software such as MS Office, antivirus, and operating systems.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
  • Implementing repairs and updates based on diagnostic assessments.
  • Configuring Email outlook and OneDrive for staff
  • Configuring Microsoft Team and training staff when they need.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting internet issues locally
  • Keeping and maintaining Computers and IT equipment
  • Monitoring and keeping Mikrotik router up to date
  • Diagnoses equipment’s operation problem and make required repair.
  • Check and ensure all the electronic equipment requested by concern department before recommending the new ones.

Job Requirements:

Language requirements, if any:

  •  Fluent in Dari, Pashto and English

Qualifications Required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in teaching and IT related activities.
  • Bachelor degree.
  • Ability of hard work.
  • Excellent oral communication skills

Work Experience:

  • More than 2 years of work experience in relevant fields 

Skills:

  • IT Professional Skills
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to speak clearly to students, other teachers, parents and administration officials.
  • Instruction Skills: Should have to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts with authority and concisely so that students can understand. You must work to keep the students' attention.
  • Writing Skills: Teachers write progress reports, notes home, and in the case of post-secondary teachers, publish research.
  • Patience: The students you work with will have different backgrounds and abilities. Patience will help teachers deal with students who act out or have trouble following the material.
  • Creativity: Teachers must find ways to involve students in their lessons. Additionally, teachers may have to work with different learning styles to get the most out of each student.
  • People Skills: Engaging parents and creating healthy relationships with students and faculty will help create a quality-learning environment.
