Focus Development Organization (FDO) is a leading NGO committed to empowering communities in Afghanistan through construction, education, health, and economic development initiatives. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental, Social, Health and Safety Officer to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental, social, health, and safety standards across project sites.
• Develop and implement site-specific HSSE plans, risk assessments, and awareness training.
• Conduct regular inspections of the project sites and prepare reports on environmental and safety performance.
• Engage with communities to promote awareness and resolve potential conflicts.
• Support project teams in ensuring adherence to donors and national ESHS policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a related policy.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental and safety management in construction projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in community engagement.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE reporting and documentation.
