About Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO):

ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

Job Descriptions:

Project Planning & Design Coordination

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, procurement strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans, standards, and timelines.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and implement mitigation measures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Approve purchases and track expenses to prevent cost overruns.
  • Coordinate with finance for payments, invoicing, and cash flow management.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant laws, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards on-site.
  • Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain thorough project documentation.
  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and external parties as required.

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience in construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).

Desirable:

  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with contract management (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
