About Afghans Humanitarian Aids & Development Organization (AHADO):

Afghans Humanitarian Aid and Development Organization (AHADO) is a non-government, non-profit humanitarian social welfare organization. AHADO established in October 2013 and registered with Ministry of Economy (MoEc), through license Number 3053. AHADO based in Kandahar and delivered humanitarian and development projects in various regions of the country including southern, central and northern regions. Implemented projects were in various sectors of child protection, community education, gender equity, WASH, health/hygiene, capacity building, livelihood and advocacy. AHADO is committed to the humanitarian principals and is PSEA Signatory; therefore AHADO would strictly follow all its provisions in its daily operation and apply the considered measurement on the perpetrators.

Earlier issuing any contract all candidates must complete the SEA Reference check that include the completion of following steps:

Reference Check for new candidates/employees

The candidates should submit two to three references from his/she former employers and complete the reference check forms Annex 1 to introduce his/her current and former employers for reference check to confirm that the candidate did not commit any ESA and Harassment.

B-Candidates with any committed SEA and harassment back-ground should not be hired.

C- To ensure that the candidate is honest and did not commit any SEA and harassment, AHADO would share the Annex 2, (candidates Reference check table) to be completed by  the candidates references, and based on the provided information, honest candidates who did not commit  any SEA and harassment , should be considered for hiring.  The annexes 1 and 2 would be shared with the final candidates.

Job Description:

It’s a fulltime job and the position holder would work six days/week. The Project Provincial Coordinator is responsible for the sound planning; coordination and implementation of project all affairs in his/her respective province level. Project Provincial Coordinator is responsible for overall management of the project according to the finalized Project Documents including overall planning, implementation, management,  monitoring, reporting and coordination of project affairs with provincial stakeholders, leading and managing of Project Provincial Education Officer, Social Mobilizers and other project provincial staff activities, and utilization of project resources in his respective province level to ensure delivery of quality education services through the 150 Temporary Learning Spaces (TLSs) established by the project and achievement of project objectives in the provincial level. He/She would report to the EiE-TLS Project Manager, AHADO Head of Program (HoP) and would work closely with UNICEF provincial and district staff, and Ministry of Education, provincial and districts authorities and communities representatives.

Key Responsibilities:  

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Actively participate in the trainings and project orientation sessions organized by AHADO and UNICEF.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of project comprehensive implementation plan in his/her respective province.
  • Coordinate the project planned activities with provincial stakeholders.
  • Make sure that qualified teachers and staff hired in the vacant positions in the provincial level.
  • Make sure that community survey conducted in his/her respective province level for identification of returnee children and they are enrolled to TLS and formal education services.
  • Is responsible for establishment of TLS classes, in his/her respective province.
  • Make sure that all required items supplied on time, TLS and students equipped with Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) and all required supplies.
  •  Make sure that project provincial staff actively participated in all capacity building activates e.g. project orientation workshop and PSEA training and etc.
  • Make sure that all hired teacher participated in 6 days ToT training on the inclusive pedagogy, language acquisition, conflict-sensitive education, accelerated learning and multi-level teaching
  • Make sure the School Management Shoura’s (SMSs) are active, fully engaged in the project affairs and received 2 days planned trainings on child rights, inclusive education, and child safeguarding, Misconducts and its reporting mechanism
  • Establish excellent coordination and communication mechanism with the education cluster, provincial authorities, communities and other stakeholders in the district and provincial level.
  • Present and coordinate, project activities at education cluster meetings and other relevant provincial conferences and meetings.
  • Make sure that the transition plan developed and implemented and facilitate   the Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS) integration to public schools in his/her respective province.

 

Project Implementation:

  • Responsible for on time implementations of project planned activities in his/her respective province with high quality. 
  • Manage, supervise, coordinate and monitor project activities in provincial, districts and communities levels
  • Make sure all targeted returnees children enrolled to the TLS and formal education with no discrimination based on their ethnic background, or disability status.
  • Ensure the project staff take appropriate security precautions
  • Ensure implementation of organizational policies and project procedures in the provincial level.
  • Assure proper coordination, and sound implementation of the training workshops and awareness sessions in the provincial level.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Assist in the design of a data collection and management system to generate data, analysis and feedback to ensure high quality of the project implementation.
  • Make sure that a functioning Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) established in all TLSs, the community’s members, parents, teachers and students voice their concerns, suggestion and statsfaction levels through a transparent feedback mechanism.
  • Facilitate the monitoring missions of the UNICEF, MoE and other stakeholders to see and visit TLSs and the project implementation progress.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor and visit the project sites and implementation process in his/her respective province.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of provincial education officers and project other staff and accordingly provide feedback and technical assistances for improvement.

  Reporting: 

  • Responsible to prepare project provincial report and submit it to the project manager for further process.  
  • Review and compile provincial staff weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports.
  • Prepare any had-hock report asked by the Project Manager, AHADO Management and UNICEF.
  • Follow any incidence of SEA cases, share detailed report of any SEA causes with Project Manager and UNICEF for further process. 

Job Requirements:

  • The applicant must have Bachelor Degree; in Education or Social Science or other related fields, Master is preferred.
  • 3 year proven experiences in implementation and management of education projects,
  • Able to travel to Helmand, Nimroz and Zabul Provinces and districts.
  •  Sign and agree on the Children Safeguarding and PSEA policies
