WHAT WE DO:
Global Partners works in the areas of community development, education and training, health improvement, emergency relief, and refugee assistance.

 

Job Descriptions:

• Provide practical and theoretical training in gabion weaving to program beneficiaries.
• Introduce and use the tools and equipment needed for gabion weaving (wire, pliers, molds, etc.).
• Monitor the performance of trainees and provide feedback to improve work and progress.
• Collaborate with the project team to organize gabion weaving programs and activities.
• Preparing a brief report on the gabion weaving training process and work progress on a weekly and monthly basis
• Responsible for distributing and distributing gabion weaving raw materials and fabric types by program beneficiaries
• Responsible for collecting gabion boxes and remaining materials from beneficiaries and storing them in the office warehouse
• Recording beneficiary information and their performance in relation to the gabion weaving program
• Responsible for completing the beneficiary survey process and resolving conflicts during the survey and gabion weaving process
• Collaborating with the distribution team during the distribution of food packages to program beneficiaries each month
• Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the progress of gabion weaving work and resolving challenges created by program beneficiaries

Job Requirements:

Employment requirements / qualifications:
• At least 3 years of work experience with an international institution
• At least one year of work experience in the gabion weaving training and gabion production sector.
• Experience in surveying, food and non-food distribution, and community conflict resolution.
• Ability to explain gabion weaving steps in simple and understandable language and size divisions.
• Commitment to punctuality, discipline, and teamwork.
• Good communication skills and patience in dealing with beneficiaries.
• Having moderate computer skills, literacy in national languages.
• Ideally living in Baghlan Province or familiar with Pul-e-Khumri and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for training and oversight of beneficiaries of the 2025 Gabion Weaving Food-for-Work project. 
Responsible for ensuring beneficiaries are meeting monthly gabion weaving goals set forth by the project.
Report any problems or issues that may impact the goals of the project.
Act and work responsibly and with integrity according to standards of GP and the Laws of the Government of Afghanistan.
Do not pay bribes under any condition.
Responsible for all other tasks as assigned by your supervisor which fit within the scope of the job position.
