Job Descriptions:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate academic calendars, class schedules, and faculty assignments.
  • Support student registration, orientation, and counseling services.
  • Monitor teaching quality and ensure quality implementation of the curriculum.
  • Organize meetings, training sessions, and professional development for staff.
  • Maintain records, reports, and communication between departments.
  • Manage and delegates duties of all staff related to the program.
  • Participate in the selection and recruitment of staff.
  • Monitors staff performance and undertake regular appraisal according to MOPH/or NGO guidelines including maintaining personal form.
  • Identifies training needs of staff and facilities and supports their professional development.
  • Participate in Monitoring and evaluation of program activities.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and secure working environment and all necessary measures to minimize risks to health and safety.
  • Maintain all program equipment in good working order and maintain an inventory of resources which is regularly checked. 
  • Liaise and coordinate with the IHS project manager and other agencies and organizations including the PPHD, GIHS/MOPH organizations to ensure an effective and quality training program.
  • Arranges and conducts regular faculty meetings and ensure minutes are distributed to all stakeholders.
  • Participating in meetings, report writing and dissemination of information related to the program.
  • Ensure that IHS Trainers are prepared for classes and clinical skill lab sessions.
  • Supervise and Support others involved in teaching / learning.
  • Maintains personal files for all students including clinical and theoretical assessment records.
  • Enforces all school policies regarding students’ performance and behaviors.
  • Ensure the required learning resources are accessible for students.

Job Requirements:

Language requirements:

  • Fluent in Dari/Pashtu and work-related English languages.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (BSc) from a recognized academic institution.

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar positions.

Skills:

  • Educational systems and curriculum: Familiar with academic programs, course structures, and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Institutional policies: Familiarity with rules, regulations, and standards of the institute.
  • Student affairs: Knowledge of enrollment processes, attendance tracking, grading systems, and student support services.
  • Event and program planning: Experienced in organizing workshops, seminars, and academic events.
  • Technology in education: Familiar with learning management systems (LMS), databases, and communication tools.
  • Proficient in computer use for administrative tasks.
  • Having good communication skills.
  • Skilled in making sound decisions and solving problems effectively.
