Job Descriptions:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach pharmacy-related subjects such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, chemistry, and professional ethics.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials according to curriculum, exam papers and assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, projects, and practical activities.
  • Supervise laboratory sessions and guide hands-on pharmaceutical training.
  • Collaborate with institute administration to improve academic quality.
  • Participate in academic meetings, workshops, and capacity-building programs.
  • To plan deliver, evaluate theory and practical lessons (as per Monthly teaching schedule).
  • Delivery of training using various teaching methodologies to conduct effective training sessions.
  • Exam planning and preparation (Midterm and Final exam) in coordination with the course coordinator.
  • Appropriate recording and filing of students’ exam results.
  • Identification of the additional coaching needs of individual students.
  • Allocation of work time to address individual coaching of all students.

Organize clinical practice:

  • Prepare training opportunities and scheduling of learning sessions.
  • Find adequate cases for the students to practice on.
  • Make sure the students prepare and carry necessary clinical assessment tools to the clinical practice area.
  • Keep records of the students’ performance on daily bases.
  • Consider cultural and gender sensitivity as well as professional ethics to guide students for their clinical practice.

Managing of teaching Material and equipment use for teaching purpose:

  • Safe keeping of teaching materials especially anatomy models and LAB materials.
  • Ensure students use the library properly and they return the books.
  • Perform other jobs related tasks as assigned by the course coordinator.

Administrative support for the project:

  • Control and record keeping of students’ attendance on daily basis.

Job Requirements:

Language requirements, if any:

  •  Fluent in Dari/Pashtu and work-related English language.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy, BSc and graduate from a recognized pharmacy faculty.

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in pharmacy.

Skills:

  • Able to deliver clear, engaging instruction and simplify complex pharmacy concepts.
  • Deep understanding of pharmacy principles with the ability to simplify complex topics for effective teaching.
  • Research proficiency, including the ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Mentorship and academic advising to guide students in research and career development.
  • Technological literacy to incorporate modern tools and platforms into teaching.
  • Commitment to professional ethics, cultural sensitivity, and gender inclusivity in academic settings.
  • Proficient in computer use for academic and administrative tasks.
  • Effective in decision-making and problem-solving
