Quest Financial Services LLC is an accounting company based in Kabul, Afghanistan, providing professional financial services to international organizations and Afghan businesses. Led by an American CPA and staffed by qualified Afghans, the Quest team combines international best practices with local Afghan knowledge to provide a comprehensive set of accounting and tax services. Quest Financial Services specializes in outsourced accounting services, tax advisory and compliance, financial system implementation, and training.

Background 

Quest aims to ensuring that when the need arises for new hires at the Staff Accountant or officer level, our first course of action will be to onboard from our pool of successful interns.

Program Objectives

• Providing the interns with practice hands-on experience in core accounting functions such as tax, accounting, advisory, and etc.
• Ensuring that most of the interns are satisfied with the service and experience that they are gaining.
• Converting at least 50% of interns to full time hired employees which in one year of program completion.

Program Score & key activities

• Meaning full work assignments: Interns will be assigned to a specific client engagement or internal company works, proving the opportunity to gain sufficient experience. This may include:
• Supporting with tax return preparation
• Supporting with the client related works (Vouching and reconciliation of based accounting entries.
• Data entry and generating basic reports.
• Mentorship Program: Each intern will be working under the supervision of FOM or Supervisor. Who will provide guidance and career insights.
• Training & Development: Structured training session on company culture, industry bets practices and other required trainings will be provided.

• Fresh graduate/graduates from the last two years
• Having bachelor degree in Finance & Accounting (Degree + 3 to 5 papers of ACCA is preferred)
• Fundamental accounting knowledge, a solid grasp of core accounting principles (GAAP & IFRS).
• Candidates demonstrating Strong analytical skill, attention to details and a proactive attitude.
• Fluency in Dari and English (required) Pashto (preferred)
• Software proficiency in Microsoft office program particularly in Excel.
• Ability to quickly adapt with new technologies being used by the company.

Note: 1-2 years of experience is preferred, but not having experience at all is still fine.
