Job Descriptions:

The Finance Manager will lead and oversee all financial operations for Taktaz Technologies. This highly strategic and technical role involves managing financial planning, accounting, regulatory compliance, and performance reporting across multiple service lines, particularly GPS-related offerings. The Finance Manager will drive cost efficiency, financial transparency, and risk management, and will work closely with executive leadership to support current operations and future business developments, including emerging ICT services, product innovations, and multi-sector partnerships.

Job Requirements:

  1. Financial Planning & Strategic Advisory
  • Design and implement financial strategies aligned with growth in GPS, software, and service sectors.
  • Lead financial forecasting, long-range planning, and investment modeling for new business lines and expansions.
  • Support capital structuring, scenario analysis, and partnership feasibility for future verticals.

 

  1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting processes: GL, AP/AR, payroll, inventory, and revenue reporting.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS or Afghan GAAP).
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation; lead year-end closing and statutory filings.

 

  1. Internal Controls & Regulatory Compliance
  • Enforce internal control frameworks for budgeting, procurement, GPS device inventory, and cash management.
  • Ensure compliance with Afghan tax laws, MoF reporting, import/export regulations (for GPS hardware), and donor/NGO-specific accounting (if applicable).
  • Prepare for internal and external audits; liaise with auditors and legal advisors.

 

  1. Budgeting, GPS Operations & Cost Optimization
  • Develop and monitor multi-project budgets, particularly for GPS device deployments and IoT platforms.
  • Track financial KPIs including gross margin per device, subscription renewal rates, ARPD (average revenue per device), and cost per installation.
  • Work closely with operations teams to control warranty reserves, replacement costs, SIM utilization, and idle device ratios.

 

  1. Treasury & Cash Flow Oversight
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow across divisions; forecast inflows/outflows.
  • Manage bank relationships, FX positions for imports, and liquidity strategies.
  • Implement treasury controls to ensure proper allocation of reserves for GPS and hardware-based services.

 

  1. Financial Systems & ERP Optimization
  • Administer and upgrade accounting and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo) to handle GPS inventory, subscriptions, and renewals.
  • Integrate finance systems with CRM, HR/payroll, procurement, and asset tracking tools.

 

  1. Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required)
  • CPA, ACCA, CA or MBA in Finance (preferred)
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in tech, GPS, or service-based environments
  • Experience managing capital-heavy, subscription-based models and import-based businesses
  • Prior work in Afghanistan or similar markets preferred

 

  1. Technical & Sectoral Competence
  • Deep knowledge of budgeting, cost accounting, and cash flow modeling for GPS or IoT device operations

 

  • Familiarity with asset-heavy deployments, telecom subscription revenues, and GPS software/hardware financials
  • Proficiency in Afghan tax law, international financial reporting (IFRS), and donor compliance (if applicable)

  • High integrity, analytical thinking, and strategic orientation
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing, security-sensitive market
  • Effective communication in English, Dari (Pashto a plus)
