• Reports to In charge of the Mother and Child Health Center (MCHC). 
• Collaborates with: Members of the Mother and Child Health Center (MCHC), and other project staff at CARE sub office level. 
• Actively contributes to other MCHC colleagues assigned tasks and the project team meetings and coordination events at provincial/sub office/field level.

• The youth outreach worker will ensure outreach for adolescents and youth and provide age-appropriate awareness sessions related to reproductive health, GBV, and child marriage. 
• Apply youth friendly approaches of awareness to provide a safe platform for adolescents and youth and referral of youth to other services as required.

• Raising awareness on age appropriate SRHR and PSS information, creating the space for learning about physical and psychological changes during puberty. 
• Providing referral services in existing facilities .

• Supporting AY groups to create their own youth led initiatives tackling issues of their concern within their communities. 
• Mobilize and outreach for youth groups, networks, and members.  

• Lead the implementation of adolescent’s girl’s empowerment programs such as AMAL and Girls Shine as part of Child Marriage Prevention Programming
• Youth educators can be resource persons in their locations to answer questions of young people and provide needed support. 

• Work as a part of a collaborative team, providing support other MCHC staff. 
• Demonstrate key competencies including initiative, teamwork, cooperation, preparedness, professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to improve continuously.
• Other duties as assigned.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Uphold CARE’s Safeguarding Policy (https://www.care-international.org/resources/care-international-safeguarding-policy) and Safeguarding Code of Conduct.
• Must read the Safeguarding Policy and either sign the Safeguarding Code of Conduct or sign a Code of Conduct that is consistent with or references this policy and Safeguarding Code of Conduct.

Safety and Security Responsibility:

We all have a responsibility to promote a safe and secure work environment, foster a safety and security culture, and ensure consistent application of, and compliance with, CARE Afghanistan safety and security policies and procedures.

Education: 

At least baccalaureate degree. University degree in social science or in similar fields is preferable.

Expirience: 

• 2 years experience in Youth Education with INGOs/NGOs/Government and others.
• Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashto is a requirement.

• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills and ability to work effectively in team.
• English Language skills is a plus point.
