Job Descriptions:

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Clinical Duties:

  • Provide high-quality orthopedic surgical care, including pre-operative assessment, operative management, and post-operative follow-up.
  • Manage acute and chronic injuries, fractures, dislocations, infections, and other related conditions.
  • Perform surgical procedures such as external fixation, open/closed reduction, debridement, and limb preservation techniques, depending on facility capacity.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, general surgeons, and emergency staff for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Ensure proper documentation of medical and surgical procedures in patient records and reporting systems.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) with specialization in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in orthopedic surgery, preferably in trauma/emergency or humanitarian settings.
  • Experience working in resource-constrained or conflict-affected areas is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with MoPH policies, BPHS/EPHS frameworks, and WHO surgical guidelines is an asset.
