The IRC opened the country program in Afghanistan in 1988. Our programs span the range from humanitarian relief to early recovery and development activities, focusing on child protection, education, economic wellbeing, health, and power. The IRC works in 10 provinces throughout Afghanistan, among which some of the most security volatile, and employs over 1000 staff.

• The IRC has zero tolerance approach to the IRC Code of Conduct including safeguarding violations being committed by its staff, consultants, contractors, volunteers, interns, suppliers, vendors, sub-grantees/partners, implementing partners or any other associate.

Specific Duties:

• Planning, Preparing, and delivering English classes for students.
• Helping students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills via individual and group sessions.
• Provide full support to office staff to overcome English Language related challenges.
• Ability to prepare and deliver online audio and video learning sessions for students.
• Checking and assessing students work.
• Assess students, document attendance and student progress.
• Support English Learning activities by researching new content and preparing educational materials as requested by supervisor.
• To perform any other relevant assignments given by supervisor.

• Advanced English certificates from reputed institutions
• English teaching experience probably with English learning centres
• Excellent English and Dari/Pashtu
• Must have computer skills.
• Good organizational and reporting skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with tutoring or teaching preferred.
• Must possess the characteristics of being a creative, organized, flexible self-starter.
