The IDP protection Monitoring Project is a partnership project of WSTA and UNHCR in Central and Southeast Region Afghanistan with the legal title of (Protection Monitoring of IDPs and refugee returnees in emergency and protected situations especially earthquake-affected families in the Southeast Region (Paktia, Paktika, Khost, and Ghazni provinces in SER and Logar, Wardak, Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, and Panjshir in Central Region). The project aims to ensure that the situation of the earthquake-affected person of concern is continuously monitored, key protection risks are identified and analyzed, persons with specific needs are identified and referred for further assessment and assistance, communities are monitored and community-level concerns are identified and referred for further assessment. Additionally, protection incidents will be continuously documented using the protection cluster methodology (Protection Incident Monitoring System). The project will contribute to systematically collecting the evidence for advocacy carried out by UNHCR and WSTA.

Using a community-based approach, protection monitoring in the field will target newel displaced and protected earthquake-affected families, IDPs, refugee returnees and undocumented returnees, and host communities in all relevant Provinces in the Southeast region

1. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under the overall supervision of the project manager, The Protection field monitor is a member of the IDP Protection Monitoring team of WSTA at the Provincial structure, responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating project activities in the province and reporting to the Project manager in Kabul.
• S/he will act as a provincial focal point of WSTA in the respective province to plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress according to the project plan and objectives and he will directly coordinate and communicate with all the project partners, stakeholders, and government entities.
• He/she is responsible to coordinate the field level matter with the community leaders, actors, and other key supporting bodies in the communities in regard to facilitating and cooperate in IDP, Refugee returnees, and host communities monitoring under the UNHCR-funded program in the respective province.
• Attend provincial-level stakeholders and sub-cluster meetings and report the MoM to the project manager at the end of each meeting day
• Regular contact with the project partners, stakeholders, and other ley
• Overseeing the implementation of the project in the respective province
• Representing WSTA in provincial-level meetings and gatherings
• Coordinate and communicate professionally with the project partners, stakeholders, and other coordination bodies and government institutions in the province
• Establish professional coordination and communication line for the WSTA management team in the respective province
• Establish a professional project filling system both in hard and soft copies
• Collect data and report them to the relevant project member for further process
• Archive all projects related to date and present them in a professional manner to the management when necessary
• Keep management informed of any single change in daily project activities supposing by UNHCR for formal process and approval
• Coordinate all project-related matters with the project manager for approval
• Any other duties and responsibilities will be assigning my project manager
• OUTPUTS

• The following outputs are expected:

• Qualitative and quantitative data of the project is collected and achieved in a professional manner
• An up-to-date filling system is placed
• Daily activities with qualitative and quantitative data are reported to the relevant project team for further process
• The project donor/partner is satisfied with technical and official behaviors and with the reporting approaches and outputs of the employee.
• Regular progress reports and work plans of the province are filed in both hard and soft forms.

Holding a High School Degree or Bachelor's Degree
2 Experience working with national or international NGOs Preferably in the Protection Sector
Fluent in Dari and Pashto languages- intermediate knowledge of English Language (High level is a plus point)
Familiarity or ability to operate the KOBOToolbox
