General responsibilities:
The health and nutrition supervisor will work under the responsibility of Health & Nutrition specialist. He/she will ensure the Good Running of the Health and nutrition program in all the MHNTs and SHCs in the targeted provinces. He/she will analyze the health and nutrition data collected throughout the provinces from MHNTs and SHCs. He/she will maintain good relationship with relevant internal Departments,
· To supervise Technical Medical (Health and Nutrition) staff of health facilities,
· To provide regular support to the health facility staff, (SHCs, TFU and MHNTs)
· To Regular visit (Supportive supervision) from the health facilities, (SHCs, TFU and MHNTs)
· To provide feedback and action plan for Health facility staff, (SHCs, TFU and MHNTs)
· To provide regular on the Job training on the spot to the health facilities staff, (SHCs, TFU and MHNTs)
· To liaise with communities, Coordination and Reporting is ensured
Objective 1: To supervise Project health facilities for the improvement of the activities
Activities/main duties
· Conduct regular supportive supervision of HFs including MHNTs and TFU in the service deliver points at target location,
· Regular supervision from the base for good reporting and documentation of the tools
· Close F/U of HMIS target charts with MD, MW, Nutrition Nurse, Nutrition counsellor, and Vaccinator,
· Follow up and ensuring of quality standards during services provision
· Provide on the job training to technical staff (Health and Nutrition) of HFs and MHNTs,
· Ensuring waste management procedures are respected and maintained
· Collect all reports from the MHTs, SHCs, TFU and Provide the initial feedback/analysis with technical staff
· Make sure that the medical and Nutrition supplies distribution and stock runs in good condition according to guideline,
· To make sure that NSTG and IMAM guidelines are respected.
· Ensure MoPH, UNICEF, WHO and WFP standard guidelines are applied during services delivery
· Using of standard M&E tools in compliance with ECHO, MoPH and PU-AMI requirements,
· Conduct of TNA and preparing training plan, technical staff (health and nutrition) staffs,
· Providing of Action plan and feedback after supportive supervision and report analysis to the health facility staff.
· To make sure that cash assistance services are properly applied according to PUI guideline and SOPs,
· Design the charts and table to set up the follow up of targets and indicators
· In charge of to provide and submit narrative and statistic monthly and quarterly report to relevant departments.
· Providing monthly plan and monthly activities report and submit to relevant departments
· In charge of supervision and monitoring of the community nutrition teams (CNTs) and prepare the monthly community nutrition activities data to relevant departments,
· Ensure and supervise food demonstration sessions in all HFs and MHNTs. Meanwhile, prepare monthly data for each session.
· Ensure implementing of all the different components of the nutrition policy (IMAM).in all the MHNTs and SHCs in the target provinces according to the SOPs and IMAM guidelines,
Objective 2: To liaise with communities
Activities/main duties
· Organize meeting with representatives of the communities
· Ensure space is available for provision of health and nutrition services at services delivery point. SDPs
· Ensure communities are involved in decision making process for SDPs, PHC, EPI, MCH and Nutrition services…etc.
· Inspire community with proper water safe and waste management
· Collect data regarding the factors affecting the female beneficiary’s involvement in outdoor activity
· To establish and develop good mutual understanding, cooperation and trust between PU-AMI and targeted community,
Objective 3: Coordination and Reporting is ensured
Activities/main duties
· Participate in all coordination meeting when you are requested
· Prepare supervision report and sharing with line manager,
· Support for preparation of HMIS reports, (weekly, Bi weekly and Monthly)
· Data analysis of HMIS reports and provide feedback and action plan to HFs and MHNT staff
· Participate in any other task given by Project manager or and field coordination
· Supervisor will make sure a good coordination between the HF staff for the better and good performance and quality of the services.
· S/He will timely share information and/or feedback either verbally or written with the relevant team then she will do their regular follow up.
· S/He will make a good communication link between the HF and PU-AMI management team (PM, pharmacy, etc.).
· Supervisor will organize regular health and nutrition staff meetings for sharing the feedback and attending their routine meetings.
· He/she will share HFs and MHNTs needs with the relevant managers,
4. Accountability
Activities/main duties:
· In coordination with MEAL team, ensure that feedback channels are available and accessible to project’s participants
· Coordinate timely, complete and accurate response to complaints as per Program Manager instruction
· Contribute to technical and programmatic solutions, and to integration of feedback into programming (adaptive management)
· Actively participate in Monthly Accountability Meetings
· Adhere to PU-AMI organizational policies (incl. CoC, Child protection policy, anti-fraud and anti-corruption policy, PSEA policy) and report any policy violations, suspicions, or allegations through the whistle-blower mechanism
