Job Description

Job Summary:  The HR Intern will support the HR Department in the effective implementation and utilization of the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and assist with routine HR administration. The intern will contribute to the collection, verification, digitization, and maintenance of employee records to ensure accurate and complete data within the HRMIS. The role will also provide support in personnel file management, and other administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

HRMIS and Data Management

  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and verifying employee information and supporting documents for entry into the HRMIS.
  • Assist in uploading, updating, and maintaining employee records in the HRMIS to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in conducting data quality checks and identifying discrepancies for correction.
  • Assist in the digitization and electronic filing of personnel records and documents.
  • Assist in updating employee profiles and HR records within the system.

Personnel File Management

  • Assist in reviewing personnel files for completeness and compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining physical and electronic personnel files.
  • Assist in tracking missing documents and following up with staff and departments as required.

Compliance and Confidentiality

  • Always maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and data protection requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in support of HR operations.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain practical experience in HR administration and HR information systems.
  • Develop skills in data management, reporting, and personnel file administration.
  • Enhance understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Fresh graduate with a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • No prior experience is required
  • Understanding the basic concepts and principles of HR theory and practice, and being committed to gain more practical knowledge about HR.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Fluency in local languages, particularly Dari and Pashto.
  • Proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Understanding and passion for IAM core values and approach essential.
