Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution
Valid nursing license/registration from the relevant national authority.
Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in nursing and nutrition services, preferably in humanitarian, primary healthcare, or NGO settings.
Good knowledge of Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) protocols, including management of SAM and MAM cases.
Sound knowledge of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), maternal nutrition, breastfeeding promotion, and nutrition counselling techniques.
Strong clinical nursing skills, including patient assessment, basic treatment, health education, and referral management.
Knowledge of nutrition screening methods, including MUAC measurement, weight and height assessment, growth monitoring, and identification of malnutrition cases.
Understanding of Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) nutrition guidelines, BPHS standards, and humanitarian nutrition approaches.
Knowledge of nutrition commodities management, including RUTF, RUSF, micronutrients, therapeutic milk, and related supplies.
Ability to provide effective counselling and behaviour change communication (BCC) to mothers, caregivers, and communities.
Good understanding of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), patient safety, and quality improvement practices.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with the ability to work with vulnerable communities.
Good documentation, reporting, and data management skills, including familiarity with HMIS/DHIS2 reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Fluency in written and spoken Pashto, Dari, and English.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field locations, including remote and underserved areas.

Proven experience in screening, assessment, and management of acute malnutrition among children under five years of age and pregnant and lactating women (PLW).
Demonstrated experience in implementing Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) services, including identification, treatment, follow-up, and referral of SAM and MAM cases.
Experience conducting nutrition assessments, including MUAC measurement, weight and height/length assessment, growth monitoring, and nutritional status evaluation.
Experience providing Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counselling, maternal nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and complementary feeding guidance.
Experience delivering individual and group nutrition education sessions, mother support groups, and behaviour change communication (BCC) activities.
Experience providing basic nursing care, health education, patient monitoring, and referral support for vulnerable beneficiaries.
Experience managing and monitoring nutrition commodities, including RUTF, RUSF, micronutrients, therapeutic milk, and other nutrition supplies.
Experience maintaining accurate nutrition records, registers, patient files, referral forms, and HMIS/DHIS2 reports.
Experience working closely with Medical Doctors, Midwives, Nutrition Counsellors, Pharmacists, Community Health Workers (CHWs), and other health and nutrition team members.
Experience conducting community outreach, nutrition screening campaigns, home visits, and awareness activities.
Experience implementing Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures and maintaining quality standards in nutrition service delivery.
Experience participating in supportive supervision, data quality assessments, nutrition monitoring, and programme improvement activities.
Experience working in emergency, conflict-affected, or resource-limited settings with vulnerable communities is highly desirable.
Experience preparing activity reports, contributing to programme documentation, and supporting donor reporting requirements.
