About BARAN

Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

* Receive, verify, and record all vaccines, syringes, safety boxes, and EPI commodities received from national and regional stores.
* Ensure proper storage of vaccines and EPI supplies according to national cold chain standards.
* Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum and maximum stock requirements.
* Prepare and implement vaccine and EPI commodity distribution plans for health facilities.
* Ensure timely delivery of vaccines and EPI supplies to supported health facilities.

* Maintain accurate stock cards and inventory records for all EPI commodities.
* Conduct monthly physical inventory and reconcile stock balances.
* Monitor vaccine wastage rates and report discrepancies promptly.
* Ensure proper documentation of received, issued, damaged, expired, and returned items.
* Prepare monthly stock status reports and submit them to the BARAN PMO EPI Officer. 

* Monitor and record vaccine storage temperatures according to EPI guidelines.
* Ensure proper functioning of refrigerators, freezers, cold boxes, and vaccine carriers.
* Report cold chain equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
* Ensure proper handling and transportation of vaccines to maintain potency.

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual EPI supply reports.
* Maintain all EPI logistics records, stock cards, requisition forms, and distribution records.
* Support data collection and reporting requirements related to EPI logistic

* Coordinate with BARAN HFs staff regarding vaccine requirements and stock replenishment.
* Support EPI campaigns, outreach activities, and supplementary immunization activities.
* Participate in supervision visits and provide logistics support as required.
* Coordinate with provincial and central-level EPI and supply chain teams.

 

Job Requirements

* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, Health Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in EPI, logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
* Experience working with BPHS/NGO projects is preferred.
* Knowledge of National EPI policies and cold chain management.
* Good computer skills, especially MS Excel and reporting tools.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
