Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and apply sound clinical judgment for patients’ assessment and examination with complex conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and make clinical decisions based on diagnostic findings and patient medical history.
• Manage medical emergencies, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Ensure effective coordination with nurses and medical team to provide comprehensive and holistic patient care.
• Prepare discharge summaries and ensure continuity of care through proper medical documentation, notes and handovers.
• Provide information and counseling to patient attendants about the patient’s medical conditions, treatment plan, and preventive measures.
• Adhere to medical ethics, patient privacy, safety standards, infection control and quality protocols, including non-medical policies.
• Ensure active participation and contribution in CME, clinical presentations, case discussions, and training seminars.
• Perform any other duty assigned by the immediate line superior.

• Completed specialization in Internal Medicine.
• Registered with Afghan Medical Council.
• At least two years of experience after specialization, preferably in a recognized hospital.
