Job Description

The Project Manager will provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical oversight for the implementation of the Community-Based Skills Development and Literacy Training project across Balkh, Baghlan, Kabul, Kunar, Ghazni, Nangarhar and Bamyan provinces  The position holder will ensure effective delivery of activities in line with UN standards, timelines, quality benchmarks, and reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

1.  Education

  • University Degree in Education, Education Management, Law, or a related field

2. Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of proven work experience as a Project Manager 

  • Experience must be in projects of similar intervention/scope in education in Afghanistan

3. Institutional/Donor Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with:

    • Government (national and sub-national levels)

    • UN organizations

    • International development or aid agencies

4 Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of up-to-date trends and best practices in emergency support services

  • Good IT skills

5. Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English

  • Proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto
