About Mahboba's Promise Afghanistan:

Mahboba’s Promise is an Australian non-profit organisation committed to supporting vulnerable women and children in Afghanistan. It was founded in 2001 by Mahboba Rawi, an Afghan refugee who later became an Australian citizen. Having personally endured the hardships of war and displacement, she established the organisation to bring hope and practical support to those affected by decades of conflict and instability.

Over the years, Mahboba’s Promise has developed schools, shelters, and health clinics across Afghanistan, while also providing sponsorship programs for widows and orphans. Its initiatives focus on delivering education and safe housing for children, vocational training and employment pathways for women, and improved access to healthcare and community support services.

More than two decades on, Mahboba’s Promise continues to be recognised as a trusted and impactful organisation, creating meaningful and sustainable change for communities across Afghanistan.

  • Conduct regular supervision visits to the project site (facilitated by the staff transportation budget).
  • Staff Management:
  • Act as the direct point of contact and support for the female Trainer, ensuring they have the resources needed to deliver the curriculum effectively.

  • Maintain open communication with the families of the beneficiaries.
