Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

A Gender Officer in a Multi-National Corporation (MNC) or international organization drives gender mainstreaming by integrating equality principles into policies, projects, and workplace culture. They provide technical guidance, conduct training, monitor gender-sensitive indicators, analyze data, and ensure compliance with diversity/inclusion standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Gender Mainstreaming: Embed gender equity principles into all corporate policies, project designs, and implementations.
  • Technical Support: Advise departments, partners, or project teams on gender-sensitive approaches.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Develop gender-sensitive indicators, collect sex-disaggregated data, and report on gender outcomes.
  • Training & Capacity Building: Design and deliver training sessions on gender equality, GBV prevention, and inclusiveness.
  • Policy Analysis: Conduct research to identify gaps in gender equality and develop action plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships to promote women’s empowerment and advocate for inclusive practices.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • 3–5 years in gender programming, project management, or, in MNC contexts, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) or D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) roles.

Other skills required:

  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in report writing, excellent communication, and ability to work in multicultural teams.
  • Common Performance Metrics
  • Reduction in gender-related risks or gaps.
  • Successful implementation of Gender Action Plans (GAPs).
  • Increase in gender-sensitive indicators within project data
